Modiphius' warehouse clearance sale includes hardcover games for just £5

Buy Dune, Star Trek, and more at rock bottom prices!
Modiphius is clearing space in its warehouse, with hundreds of products reduced with massive discounts--sometimes as low as £5 for a £50 hardcover TTRPG book such as Dune: Adventures in the Imperium (including collector's editions), Star Trek Adventures Player's Guide, or John Carter of Mars. There's also miniatures boxed sets and accessories for similar prices, including several different Fallout: Wasteland Warfare miniature sets, Star Trek Starfleet Deck Tiles, and various Dune dice sets. Overall, there's nearly 300 products on sale, many under £10, and many for just £5.

Modiphius has indicated that this stock will not be reprinted, and says that the clearance sale is to make space in its warehouse, but many are speculating that some of the company's many IP licenses may be coming to an end. The company's official statement said "Out with the old and in with the new! It’s that time of year, and we’re clearing out the ol’ warehouses to make room for fresh arrivals. That means over 300 select items just hit rock-bottom prices… Bear in mind that once we’re sold out, we will NOT be restocking, so don’t leave your favourites sitting in your cart for too long!"

The sale includes items from many of Modiphius' lines, including Star Trek, Dune, The Elder Scrolls, Fallout, John Carter of Mars, Dishonoured, and Stargate, along with boardgames like Lobotomy 2, Homeworld Fleet Command, and Escape from Stalingrad Z.

Some of the stock is not published by Modiphius, which often acts as a reseller for other publishers' products such as Mindjammer, Infinity, and Odyssey of the Dragonlords. The Marvel Multiverse Roleplaying Game, for example, is on sale for £27, about half it's normal price.

It's not just £5 books, though. There are some massive discounts on limited edition books like the Dune: Core Rulebook Imperial Limited Edition, which normally costs a whopping £550, and is on sale for £225.

Note, the shipping is really high. Not just for this sale - Modiphius' shipping is really high normally. Not sure if they're including extra because they have to pay for the warehouse in the US. It's less than it was when I was purchasing from the UK, but it's definitely higher than it takes to ship books in the US.

That said, I did get a lot in this sale, even though the shipping for my two orders was almost as much as the product, it was still less than it would have been at normal prices.

Dreams & Machines which I learned recently was originally developped as a Horizon Zero Dawn RPG but they pivoted after the licensing deal fell through.
Was this ever confirmed? I've only read this as a rumor or people assuming it was because of the similarities, but I've never seen any confirmation.

I have mixed feelings about this… Sooo many of the books (& minis) I own on my gaming shelf are part of this massive stock clearance.

I think a lot of people are going to get some great books, and awesome games!

I also decided that I didn’t want to miss out either, and begrudgingly accepted the £17.70 shipping charge on the ‘Dune: Core Rulebook Imperial Limited Edition’ 50% off deal.

Warehousing costs are clearly nothing to nothing to smirk at… Or maybe Modiphius have decided to reduce their consignment stock & risk exposure after the Diamond debacle? 🤷🏻

No matter what it’s a big (and much appreciated) move.

Well I would have definitely bought some stuff if they weren't gouging me quite so much on shipping, but as is it's probably not going to happen. The $8.55 Fallout GM screen comes to $30.99 for me with shipping (which will take 1-2 weeks), supposedly from a location also within the US. It doesn't cost $20+ to non-express ship a GM screen and booklet within the US so they must really be handling this stuff with some premium care I'm not inclined to pay for. I can get it for slightly less on Amazon and have it delivered in 48 hours. I can get it cheaper from other online discounters. Or if I am in a pay more to support small businesses mood I could probably still get it from a local game store or book store for the MSRP of $34. But realistically I'm just not going to get it because it's something maybe worth $15-20 to me, being as there's only a marginal chance of me ever actually getting around to running a Fallout game.

I am still tempted by some books since they typically come with complimentary PDFs buying straight from Modiphius, but the listed prices for this sale are very misleading.

Same. A 80$ book, at a sale at 8$, becomes 60$ with the shipping. It's insane. I got some kettle and weights delivered a month ago for half that price.

This link only talk about Acthun Cthulhu, nothing about Dune line
They didn’t explicitly mentioned the line is done, but they said the books on this sale won’t be reprinted, which includes Dune books. Also John Carter, Homeworld and Dishonored.

Unless they are planning to do a 2nd/Revised edition, it does look like the end of the line.

Also just today I learned the Spanish publisher is liquidating the line which isn't necessarily related most of the time but when the main publisher is liquidating stock...
