Monster Index Online?

Given that I'm about to run a 2e game for my son's birthday and will probably use some 1e module for the show, I'd like to know whether there exists something like a 2e monster index?

I'm not so much looking for the data but for references to the different incarnations of Monstrous Compendiums and Monster Manuals, Dungeons and Dragons and whatnot. While I have many of those books and collections, searching through all of them for one specific critter doesn't rhyme with fun. :)

Do you trust Wikipedia? It looks good anyway. Just hit "show" on the links.

There's also this, but I have never clicked on the links.

Echohawk's index that kitcik linked (not the wikipedia one) is a truly excellent resource. It's a complete index of _all_ D&D monsters (and official/semi-official conversions) up through 3.5e and including some of 4e. I think he stopped updating it sometime in 2008. It's in spreadsheet form, so it's searchable, sortable, and filterable.

The World of Sulerin also has a great monster index/encounter maker including 3e and 2e sources.
