D&D General More performances and panelists revealed for D&D Fan Expo in London

A bunch of new British appearances have just been announced.
Earlier this year, the official D&D Fan Expo at London's 02 Arena was announced. The two-day event is set for Friday 21st-Saturday 22nd, and will feature interactive elements, panels, and special guests.

D&D Actual play group The High Rollers were announced back in February for the Friday, and Dungeon Master Jasmine Bhullar is running a game on the Saturday on stage in the main arena.

A bunch of new British appearances have just been announced, including YouTube influencer D&D Shorts, the London D&D venue RPG Taverns, podcasters Roll Britannia, live-players It's Your Role, and miniature painter (as in a painter of miniatures, not a tiny painter) Johnny Ghiodini.

His name came up enough times in respect to unfounded rumors and clickbait material around the OGL that I simply blocked his videos. There’s too many good channels that don’t come up in a negative light to waste time with the ones who frequently find themselves there.

I don't think most YouTubers who present themselves as journalists -- which DM Shorts does not -- really measure up to basic journalistic standards. They're largely self-taught folks making it up as they go along and mostly seem to be trying their best.

The problem is he tried to play journalist during the OGL debacle, got caught doing it poorly, and then "came clean" and tried to move past it.

Personally, I do not like the guy. His videos have always been bad for the hobby, as all his "builds" and "combos" require bad-faith readings of the rules to make work. The entire section in the 2024 DMG about why you shouldn't let your players do a peasant railgun might as well have included a link to his channel as an example of what not to let PCs get away with.

So I already did not like him, and then he goes and does the whole OGL thing. I do not think the old 5e team would be highlighting him, and I get that the new guard want to mend fences, but this feels like inviting your bully to your birthday party.
