Most ridiculous superhero team ups ever

The upcoming Avengers movie got me thinking about this. The original team up that formed the Avengers were:

Ant-Man
Wasp
Iron Man
Thor
Hulk

That is a totally ridiculous team up. I mean, look at the scale of power, there. And through the years (decades), Marvel comics have had similar strange team ups. And DC has had some wacky groupings, too.

What are the most ridiculous superhero teams ups ever in the comics?

It's not as ridiculous as it seems at first glance:

Hank Pym didn't just have the ability to grow and shrink things; he's considered among the foremost inventors of the Marvel Universe. He did create Ultron, after all. He would definitely be considered one of the "brains" of the group. His ability to shrink things for use later was one of his key features (think Bag of Holding). He had tremendous versatility being able to shrink or grow.

Wasp was the ideal scout, being able to fly and shrink. While she was often considered the weak link, that really was only because they didn't do all too much espionage or stealth.

Iron Man was another versatile character, but what he really brought to the Avengers was funding. His inventions often helped as well. I would consider him the primary skirmisher.

Thor and Hulk were the heavies - able to take a lot of punishment and give it in return. They may not have been as flexible as the others, but they performed their job well.

Aunt May and Franklin Richards (vs Galactus - I kid you not)

That made me laugh. Out loud.

Personally I'd like to see Deathlok and the Prankster versus Carnage and Sgt. Rock.

As much as I like Sgt. Rock my money is on Deathlok to waste the other three.

On second thought I think I'd rather see John Milton and John Keats take on Iron Butterfly and Luke Cage. Iron Butterfly and Luke Cage can have Jim Croce to make it fair.

Lord Byron can referee, and if Byron is the last man standing then he gets to eat Daffy Duck and the Phantom Menace.

Let's all wish him luck!
