[threadjack]Hey RC, there was a recent thread in the General Forum about this very phenomina... a poster {who will remain nameless for now} complained how Enworlder's fought off attempts to change the RAW. While many of the replies were ...umm.. interesting, the one point that struck me was the observation that well written and politely posted House Rules tend to get one or two 'looks good' posts..then rapidly fall off the first page. Meaning, if you want comments/critizisms on your house rules you need to be either poorly written and/or inflamatory. Maybe we should start a Flame war to get people to look at the thread? Eh, that probably wouldn't work. After all, the Meta-Troll is still alive and kicking..and so far off the original tanget :) but I digress....[/threadjack] Honestly I looked more indepth to the social standings than the alignment piece. This is because I play a very loose game when it comes to alignment. A re-read over them shows a much better written explanation of how I always thought they should be anyway. My biggest problem with alignments in general is that I am first and foremost a CP2020 GM. 'Good' is generally subjective at best, and 'Law' is more about who has the money than morale choices. I think they are good tools to use when type-casting a character, and horrible tools to try to determine 'what would Mikey do'.
