A few of you may recall me asking for game alternatives for my wife and I, since I was getting sick of UNO.
Well, we found it - Chez Geek by Steve Jackson games. It's a card game, and there are three products available - Chez Geek is a standalone game, and has everything you need to play. Chez Geek 2, and Chez Geek 3 are essentially add-ons that you can get that increase the size of the deck, and as a bonus, Chez Geek 3 comes with a big box so that you can store all the cards. We have all three decks.
The game itself is simple. You pick a job card, and then you play various activity cards, or you buy "thing" cards with the free time listed on your job. Each thing or activity gives a certain amount of "slack", and when you reach the slack goal listed on the job card, you win.
Game play is extremely fast. It's funny, and easy to learn. I wouldn't recommend it for kids since it has tons of references to booze, pot-smoking, getting "nookie", and other such adult-oriented things. But, it's all in good fun.
Anyone else here play it?
