D&D General Mysterious D&D book called 'GOLLY' appears on Barnes & Noble

Over on Barnes & Noble, a pre-order page for a 288-page Dungeons & Dragons book has appeared under the title "Dungeons & Dragons GOLLY", which is presumably a filler title of some kind.

The book is slated for November 16th, 2026, and is a $59.99 hardcover. Other than that--we know nothing.

D&D's other releases this year include Ravenloft: The Horrors Within (June 16), Arcana Unleashed (September 16), and Arcana Unleashed: Deadfall (September 16).

There's also a Greyhawk setting book which has no confirmed release date but is generally assumed to be 2027.

My guess is that 'Golly' is a homophone of 'Gaul-y', and represents an adventure based upon the French Revolution where a whole mass of beheaded nobility get back on their undead feet to take over a major city, and the adventurers have to stop them.

The villains are the liches Louis and Marie Antoinette who have recruited the infamous Scarlet Necromancer to raise the undead headless nobles...

Usually, this sort of thing doesn't happen until a few days before an announcement. And GenCon isn't for another like 2 months.

....Unless they're announcing the Fall books soon and the GenCon announcements are for the 2027 books and not for the year between GenCons....
