Huh. I'm actively enjoying my conscious uncoupling from D&D, and am hoping this book continues WotC's long streak of material I have no interest in.I tried to use my connections in the library industry for clues, but our vendors don't have anything listed yet.
I keep hoping for that book to hook me back in D&D.
No, it’s a hardback book. It says right there.Maybe is a new box style "Stranger Things: Hellfire Club" but this time the collab would be with a different franchise. I guess now it could be a good moment to joke about a D&D+Fortnite crossover or a nonense like this. World of Warcraft, League of Legends and Huryle/Legend of Zelda could be the best options for a "collab/crossover".
Other option could be a D&D: LEGO starter pack with exclusive miniatures.
By Toutatis! My guess is that 'Golly' is a homophone of 'Gaul-y', and represents an adventure based upon the French Revolution where a whole mass of beheaded nobility get back on their undead feet to take over a major city, and the adventurers have to stop them.![]()
I can imagine TSR making a plot involving a topless French review, but not WotC.The villains are the liches Louis and Marie Antoinette who have recruited the infamous Scarlet Necromancer to raise the undead headless nobles...
Scratch that, this is even less plausible. Gnomes (tinker), on the other hand, maybe. Hmm, Gnomes Of Legend & Lore and... it's always the Y that makes acronyms hard. This is clearly a typo of the word “GULLY” - as in everyone’s favorite dwarves.
And I a bit to old. However, I feel like the 80s were more of a 'wow' decade (didn't Inspector Gadget say "wowzers" or something?), with 'golly' being more 60s-70s, and 'whoa/whoah' coming in with Bill&Ted for the 90s.I was a bit too young to catch the D&D cartoon when it was on. Does anyone know if “golly” was something any of the characters said frequently?
I guess SHAZAM! is right out.I was hoping for JINKIES but I realized we already have a Ravenloft book coming...
Topless French review, you say?I can imagine TSR making a plot involving a topless French review, but not WotC.
I beg your Pardon.Perhaps it's a typo. Maybe it is meant to be "Dolly", and we're getting the D&D x Barbie crossover we've all yearned for!
