"GOLLY"

D&D General Mysterious D&D book called 'GOLLY' appears on Barnes & Noble

I have so many stories of not buying this or that, regretting it, and going back only to find out someone else bought it. Or selling stuff and regretting it. I probably had a near complete run of GI Joe ARAH from 1982-1990 that I got rid of.

Even stuff I didn't intentionally sell went missing or got lost. Hell, I lost my BBQ Tongs the other day. I went to use them and poof, vanished into thin air. I looked all over the house, in the garage and they are nowhere to be found. Sure, they will turn up in the strangest place. Woke up one day and found my remote control in the refrigerator a few months back. In my defense I think I sleepwalk.

I once lost my glasses. I had put them in the pocket of the shirt I was wearing.

Yeah but I elaborated after that post I think DS is a special circumstance and would require more than just a single book, because there is so much out of the norm from standard D&D that's in the core books.
But I mean...doea it really? We already have seen the player options that are clearly meant for Dark Sun, combine those with a sizeable Bestiary and some DM lore and Adventure material...easily can be done in one volume. I would never expect more than that for a D&D Setting at this point.

Yes I think it does need more than one book. Case in point would be the magic system of Darksun is not the same as a typical D&D setting, so I think that would need its own system. Further there were a lot of setting specific spells that should probably be included. That's just one example. As far as a bestiary, I don't think a chapter in a single volume book would be sufficient to properly represent the creatures of the setting. These three examples alone would probably take up a significant portion. Sure it could be done in a single volume if they just want to disregard and omit things pertinent to the setting like they did with Spelljammer like leave out ship to ship combat rules. Guess we'll find out sooner than later.

In recent years, there have been reprint collections of Marvel’s GI Joe. Consult your friendly neighborhood comics store.
Wasn't there a large 4 volume set on Kickstarter or some other crowd fund late last year? It looked nice but it was pretty expensive.

EDIT: Amazon has the paperbacks, G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero Compendium Vol. 1 - 4.

I SOLVED IT.

simple really, the Golly is a alpha numeric code that gives you the number 715121225.

thats obviously longitude and latitude coordinates

so -71.51, 21,22 puts you 55 miles north west of Princess Elisabeth Station in Antarctica.

55 miles means its the 5.5 rules.

North West is for Wizards of the Coast.

Princess Elisabeth is the Heir to the Belgium Throne and born October 25th making her a Scorpio. Scorpions live in the desert and deserts are filled with Sand.

Stationary comes in a Box

Antartica is the oposite of the artic which is named after a bear and the opostie of a bear market is a bull market. Bull is represented in the zodiac by Taurus and its constilation contains the Pleiades also known as the Seven Sisters. The Seven Sisters also exist in the Forgoten Realms and are linked to Aglarond.

So its the 5.5 Wizards of the Coast Sandbox Aglarond.
