Need help fast: make an exclusive skill available

I don't think so, not for exclusives. Why would you want a feat to do that? Part of the balance built-into PrCs is that some requirements can only be provided by certain classes or combination of classes, as it should be.

Is there any feat that allows you to turn an exclusive skill into either a class or crossclass skill?

I tihnk there's something like that in the Netbook of Feats.

... but good luck finding a DM who will just let you throw one of those feats in without careful evaluation :)

Kingdom of Kalamar has such a feat, if you use that setting. It's called Skill Prodigy, I think. Takes your Int bonus, and you pick that number of skills that are cross-class and make them class, or exclusive and make them cross-class.

Basically, I have a deaf paladin who wants to take read lips. It makes perfect sense to me, a deaf person can learn to read lips fairly easily. But its exclusive to rogues.

So I need a way to get him read lips, but it has to be an official source, any other suggestions?

DM says "You take a huge-ass penalty, lose access to some skills (like listen), I'll sure as hell late you take read lips.:

Common sense, I guess :)

DMG official enough? There are guidelines in there for altering skill selections of the classes. Of course the DM has to approve of it, but the option is there.

Talk to your DM. Currently, Listen is a cross-class skill for you and read lips exclusive. Since you're deaf, that pretty much makes Listen an exclusive skill (unless you want to change it to a tremor sense). I think any reasonable DM would let you have Read Lips as at least a cross-class skill, while Listen becomes exclusive. It's not unbalancing, it's proper for character development, and it just makes sense.

Skill Focus: Read Lips will give him +2, plus his INT Bonus...
