The Dreamspeakers are a sect who worship Morpheus, the God of Sleep and Dreams. Morpheus doesn't deal with the Nightmare Lands. After an exhaustive battle with the Nightmare Court, they were banished and 6 people found their way to the Nightmare Lands. Anne deChantraine - Witch (Hag), Elizabeth Bathory - Vampire, Khufu - The Mummy, Baron Samedi - Zombie (actually a ju ju zombie), Hellin - Poltergheist and Gevaudin - The Werewolf.

Each has their own providences now and each rule an aspect of nightmares. However, there is a 7th named The Gatekeeper. The Harbingers battle each other for 6 keys to get out and take over the entire Dreamscape.

The Dreamseakers basically are Morpheuses messengers on Ry'ia. They invoke dreams that bestow visions and/or clues to their future paths. They are somber and dark, often broody.

They are either Neutral Good or Chatoic Good.

Awake Dreams - Allows them to go into others dreams.

Dream Savior - Allows them to pull others out of nightmares by going into them.

Never Sleep - Instead of sleeping them do something similar to what the elves do with meditation but they actually visit the dream plane.

Hypnotise - They can make suggestions to people in their sleep as if the person were hypnotised.

Infiltrate Sleep - They can gather intelligence on people by invading their dreams and pulling information out of them through their subconscious.

You'll get a much better response of you make your thread titles more specific. Something like "Need help making Dreamspeaker PrC" tends to attract interested people, and weed out those who aren't.

I've got to ask, though - if it's only for NPCs, why do all the hard work when you can fake it? And if its for angelic types, why make it a PrC instead of just spell-like abilities? I usually aim for the path of least busywork, and never design anything that isn't sure to get used. :)

Not just for NPCs. The PCs are only 3rd - 4th level so most stuff is all for NPCs. They ran into a couple of NPCs who are Dreamspeakers and one person is thinking about being one.

The Dreamspeaker: A New Prestige Class

The Dreamspeakers are the followers of Morpheus who use their abilities to see and guide the dreamer to their visions or dreams of yet to come. They are the ones who help Morpheus on the Dreamplane.
Most Dreamspeakers are Black Mages, Blue Mages, White Mages and Geomancers. Psychic and Crystal Warriors also have been known to be Dreamspeakers as well

Hit Die: d8

Requirements:
To become a Dreamspeaker, a character must fulfill all these criteria:
Knowledge (Dreams): 8 Ranks
Spellcraft: 8 Ranks
Special: Ability to Cast 3rd level Power, Divine or Arcane Spells
Special: Must journey on a dreamquest

Class Skills:
The Dreamspeaker’s class skills (and the key ability for each skill) are: Concentration (Con), Lucid Dreaming (Wis), Knowledge (Taken Individually) (Int), Listen (Wis), Spot (Wis), Spellcraft (or Psicraft) (Int), Decipher Script (Int) and Sense Motive (Wis).

Skill Points at each level: 4 + Int modifier

Desert Master Progression Table:

Class Level Base Attack Bonus Fort Ref Will Special
1st +0 +2 +0 +2 +1 Spellcasting Level, Morpheus' Kiss
2nd +1 +3 +0 +3 +1 Spellcasting Level, Dream Secret
3rd +1 +3 +1 +3 +1 Spellcasting Level, Morpheus' Sigh
4th +2 +4 +1 +4 +1 Spellcasting Level, Dream Secret
5th +2 +4 +1 +4 +1 Spellcasting Level, Dream
6th +3 +5 +2 +5 +1 Spellcasting Level, Dream Secret
7th +3 +5 +2 +5 +1 Spellcasting Level, Lullaby
8th +4 +6 +2 +6 +1 Spellcasting Level, Dream Secret
9th +4 +6 +3 +6 +1 Spellcasting Level, Dreamwalk
10th +5 +7 +3 +7 +1 Spellcasting Level, Dream Secret

Class Features:
Weapon and Armor Proficiency: All Dreamspeakers are proficient with all Simple Weapons, and are not profficient with any armor or shields.
+1 Spellcasting Level: The Dreamspeaker gains an effective 1 level higher for his previous spell casting class. If he was of two spellcasting classes, he can pick which one to apply to. If he was psycich, the same applies. They do not get any bonuses (metamagic feats, etc).
Morpheus' Kiss: At 1st level, Dreamspeakers are immune to sleep and sleep like effects and meditate as elves do.
Dream Secret: At 2nd level (and every other level after that: 4th, 6th, 8th and 10th), the Dreamspeaker can apply one of the following metamagic feats to any Illusion or Divination spell he knows: Extend Spell, Heighten Spell, Empower Spell, Enlarge Spell and Maxamize Spell. It does not add the levels higher as it normally would.
Morpheus' Sigh: At 3rd level, a Dreamspeaker gains the ability to put any creature to sleep and induce dreams, regardless of if they are immune to sleep like effects. If the creature resists, they can make a will save DC 15 + the combined caster level of the Dreamspeaker. A Dreamspekaer cannot induce sleep and dreams to a creature who has more hit dice than it has caster levels. Thus a 5th level wizard/3rd level Dreamspeaker can only induce sleep and dreams in a 7 HD creature or less.
Dream: At 5th level, the Dreamspeaker gains the ability to cast the Dream spell as a sorcerrer of his level. Even creatures that are immune to sleep and sleep like effects are targeted with this spell.
Lullaby: At 7th level, the Dreamspeaker gains one of the following abilities: Darkness, Sleep, Persistant Image, Mirage Arcana and True Seeing as a sorcerrer of his level. Which ever ability he chooses, also gets a free Dream Secret added to it.
Dreamwalk: At 9th level, the Dreamspeaker gains the ability to move into the Dreamplane at will.

Special: Must journey on a dreamquest

What in the world is a dreamquest?

Morpheus' Kiss: At 1st level, Dreamspeakers are immune to sleep and sleep like effects and meditate as elves do.

Elves do not visit the dreamplane while they are meditating, you need to put this stipulation on this otherwise how can they navigate the dreamplane at all until 9th level.

Do they have to choose one effect for each level where they gain this ability or is it dynamic with just being able to do it to an additional spell each time they gain the ability?

Morpheus' Sigh: At 3rd level, a Dreamspeaker gains the ability to put any creature to sleep and induce dreams, regardless of if they are immune to sleep like effects. If the creature resists, they can make a will save DC 15 + the combined caster level of the Dreamspeaker. A Dreamspekaer cannot induce sleep and dreams to a creature who has more hit dice than it has caster levels. Thus a 5th level wizard/3rd level Dreamspeaker can only induce sleep and dreams in a 7 HD creature or less.

I like this ability but found the wording a bit confusing. How about something like this (I know it changes the ability but it also cleans it up)
Morpheus' Sigh: At 3rd level a Dreamspeaker gains the ability to cast sleep and dream on any creature regardless of immunities. The spells are cast in unison and cannot be cast seperatly as part of this ability. The target is allowed a single will save (DC 15+ combined caster level of Dreamspeaker). The target's HD must not be greater then the Dreamspeaker's combined caster level. This ability is usable 1/Dreamspeaker level a day.

Dream: At 5th level, the Dreamspeaker gains the ability to cast the Dream spell as a sorcerrer of his level. Even creatures that are immune to sleep and sleep like effects are targeted with this spell.

How often can they use this?

Lullaby: At 7th level, the Dreamspeaker gains one of the following abilities: Darkness, Sleep, Persistant Image, Mirage Arcana and True Seeing as a sorcerrer of his level. Which ever ability he chooses, also gets a free Dream Secret added to it.

WARNING NIGGLY POINT COMING The and in the abilities list should be changed to or, and implies multiply while or implies singular.
