Neverwinter Campaign Setting Resources

I need MOAR!!!!!11!

I'm building a Maptools campaign file in order to run a Neverwinter campaign. My aim is to create all the maps to cover all potential combat situations and a range of tokens of level 1-13 monsters for each map. By doing this, the group only has to load an, albeit massive, campaign file once and then I can switch between maps based entirely on what the players want to do and where they want to go. With the combat's and maps sorted, I can essentially run it as a miniature sandbox, using the boundaries of Neverwinter as the sides of the box.

But having said that, this is going to require, by my count, about 45 maps as well as numerous additional monsters and creatures to fill the gaps left by the text. The book provides... erm... about five maps. And on top of that, I can't get any of them online (legally at least) at high resolution.

So, I'm guessing there are more than a few people in somewhat of a similar situation, ie. DM's wanting to run a Neverwinter Campaign but who are a bit resource poor. To that end I was hoping to get some input on what monsters to use, and even better hoping to be pointed to some nice maps that could fill in for all the locations presented in the book. Stuff like Gauntlegrym, the Dread Ring, Sharandar, Driftwood Tavern, and even basic stuff like city streets, Blacklake, the Wall, etc.

The 4e FR module Scepter Tower of Spellgard is a 2-4th level module set in a ruined town. Technically it's a different town to Neverwinter, but they are both large walled towns in ruins. The adventure has lots of maps that could be used for the Neverwinter campaign.

I'm still looking at the adventure itself with a view to using parts of it for the Neverwinter campaign - I don't intend to run all the combat encounters, and need to put in more politics and skill challenges.

Ah, beautiful, thanks.

Need more though!

Other items in these product lines are worth taking a look at, and of course, Dungeon Tiles too :)

Maybe you could take maps from the original, non-ruined Neverwinter and turn it into ruins. That'd also give you hooks for places not covered in the Campaign Guide. I'm not sure if such a supplement exists, but it could work.

Also, and this is something I've noticed as a DM who also runs over maptools. Be wary of railroading; its especially difficult since you have to have tokens and maps made and it can be tempting to push your players into already-made maps rather than letting them explore as they will. Even with 45 maps, chances are they'll go someplace unexpected if you're running this sandbox style.

Anyway, just my two cents. Also, make sure your players have your asset cache before the game to avoid massive load times for each map (especially if you're using a single, large image for your map.
