New archery feat: Aimed shot.

I was thinking of a feat that would put focus on carefull well placed shots instead of rapid volleys.

Aimed shot;
prereq, BAB +1, point blank shot, precise shot.

As a fullround action you make one attack with your projectile weapon. you gain +2 to attack roll and +1d6 damage.

when you get BAB +6, you get +4 attack and +2d6 damage, at BAB +11, +6 attack and +3d6 damage, at +16 BAB you get +8 attack and +4d6 damage.

Doesn't sound overpowered or anything, for when you need to make that single shot really count.

Would be great with poisioned or magical arrows!

This feat is generally worse than manyshot. I guess the extra accuracy is nice, but archery in D&D is rarely one of those things where accuracy is important. There are plenty of ways to get bonuses to hit with archery, moreso than with melee.

d20 Modern has a feat called Dead Aim.

If you take a full-round action to line up your shot, you get a +2 circumstance bonus on your next attack roll. Once you start lining up your shot, you can't move (even to take a 5-foot step) and if your concentration is broken or you are attacked, you lose the benefit of aiming. Prereqs are Wis 13 and Far Shot.
