I don't see that thread or anything similar suggesting the presence of gm support or mechanical tools present in the Ravenloft book in question. What exactly are you referring to?

Ghere are no bright colors an not a single distant whiff of whimsy in those images.

This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but Borca is looking pretty Nightmare Before Christmas. The rest are pretty whimsy-free, though. My favorites are Falkovnia and Valachan. Least favorite is probably Innsmouth.

I agree on the lack of whimsy tho. They are definitely horror. I just wish that the actual art style was different for each Domain.

They might've been done by the same artist, which explains the similarities. We would need to see the art credits when the book is out.

The Falkovnia art looks like a different artist, so does the cover art.

The book seems to use several artists painting in different styles, but not on the basis of a different style for each domain.

Innsmouth is a boring image IMO. Agreed.

Agreed on the last part though. It would be cool if they had given each domain its own art direction and aesthetic guidelines.
