I suspect that monster from Lamordia picture could be a hullathoin, an undead creature that appeared in Fiend Folio 3e.
It's been many years. I'd actually forgotten about that. I suppose you could always use a Boggle set...I wonder how many of the posters claiming Lovecraft engaged in things like smashing random keys have ever had the chance to sit down at a manual type writer and has the privilege of discovering how easy it is to tangle the keys up even at lowish typing speeds.
It appears to be a Frankensteined sea serpent in the icy sea off Lamordia. As well as referencing Moby Dick I think it also references the Eberron lighting rail heist pic.
It’s clearly cut from a larger picture. I’m sure exactly what is going on is explained in the book!
There is stitched flesh and frozen water in the picture!Domain of Snow and Stitched flesh
I was thinking along the same lines as Moby Dick too. Maybe hunting "Ol' Red" could be an interesting Ravenloft adventure - talk about the terror of being out of your league and forced to hunt after it.It kinda looks like a Tarrasque or some other kaiju size monster coming up out of the ice, while a guy is trying to harpoon it Moby Dick style.
There was a player in a game who played a dwarf named "Dvorak" and my PC would always "forget" his name and call him "Qwerty the Dwarf"I wonder how many of the posters claiming Lovecraft engaged in things like smashing random keys have ever had the chance to sit down at a manual type writer and has the privilege of discovering how easy it is to tangle the keys up even at lowish typing speeds.
