New Feat for thrown weapons

Weapon Throwing Expertise (General)

You can throw weapons, such as daggers or throwing axes, much farther and more accurate than normal
Prequisites: Dex 15, Base Attack +1, Proficient with throwing weapons
Benefit: You can throw weapons 10 more feet per range increment. you can throw a dagger 20 feet without penalty, 30 feet at -2, 40 feet at -4, 50 feet at at - 6, etc.
Special: A character can gain this feat multiple times. It's effects stack

Well theres my first feat I've ever made. The reason I made this feat is because one of my npcs is supposed to be some awesomely trained dagger thrower that never misses.

Well, people can throw things 5 range catagories. Which means the axe can be thrown up to 50ft using normal rules. Far shot feat allows you to double that, so it could be thrown 100ft that way.

I think adding 30ft per level is way to good, as at tenth level you'll be having people thrwo axes up to 400ft, longer then a football field.

HOw about adding 10 feet for each range increment. That way the axe could be thrown 20 feet w/o penalty, 40 feet @ a -2, 60 feet @ -4, all the way to 100 feet @-10
 


One house rule I used...

I adjusted the number of max range increments a weapon could be thrown by the STR Mod.

For example, a character with STR12 could throw a weapon 6 increments (5+1), while one with STR9 could only heave one 4 (5-1).

If you use the above, I'm not sure how a FEAT could alter things, but here is one off the top of my head...

Make it stackable, and have it increase the maximum number of increments by 1.

So, a Halfling with STR9 (4 increment max), could burn 2 FEATS and increase his maximum throwing range to 6 increments.
 


Honestly I think far shot covers added range for thrown weapons preety well. I would rather see feats to increase damage with thrown weapons, increase number of attacks, bonus to hit etc.
