Yeah, I agree, but it might help if there was more English present. I'd actually settle for Engrish in this trailer.

Woo,I understood a bit of it.

Little girl asking if cloud was sick. The short haired silver guy saying something about mother's power. And telling the children they had lost something they had in their hearts. And calling cloud a dissapointment. Ummm....that is about it lol. :)

I can add to this a bit, but not too much.

The opening scene, with the phone ringing has Tifa saying "I'm not here" before she realizes that no one else is going to answer it. The little girl is wondering aloud where Cloud is.

The first guy in the bike chase scene is asking where Mother is.

When the same guy is advancing on the little girl, Tifa screams at her to run.

In the scene where the short-haired guy is telling the children they've lost something in their hearts, he then says they can go to where Mother is.

When Cloud crashes in, that guy says "It's great that you've come!" and then to the children, "This man is our older brother!"

Finally, if I'm not mistaken, the voice at the end is saying something to the effect of, "I have no memories."

One last thing to note is that it may be a while longer before we get to see the film, since Animenation just reported that the film's Japan release has been delayed from this Christmas to "sometime in 2005".

Direct to DVD. Square-Enix learnt a tough lesson after Final Fantasy: Spirits Within. It might hit theaters on very limited release though.

I still don't get why FF:TSW bombed this hard. I rather enjoyed it. Yeah, it didn't have much beyond cool graphics, but the same and then some can be said for tons of other blockbusters (coughvanhelsingcough).

Well, FF:TSW was so bad, because it made the impression to be serious and story-driven and it just plain sucked in that behalf. It was completely boring and unimpressive. A movie I would never even think about watching again. I also didn't really like the visuals of FF:TSW. Van Helsing OTOH was very much what I expected from it and it was very fun to watch, even tho the story was kinda silly. ;)

Of course, I'm not really a FF fan, but even big time FF fans do not like the movie (one I recently spoke to said that other FF movie (I didn't even know there is one) is (will be?) a lot better, of course his reasoning was, that the TSW movie had nothing to do with the story from the games or something like that, never played them myself).

Bye

Well, if FF:TSW had been a movie adaptation of FF7 instead, it would have probably been much better. If anything, because FF7's plot, even stripped so as to fit in 2 hours, is way much better than TSW's. I'm a fan, but I think that last statement is objective.

I don't get the decision of going straight to DVD; it's going to save them money but they'll also lose on theater revenues. I don't think TSW's failure had anything to do with distribution issues; seems to me like the movie was just too costly for its quality.
