Nightshade - Nightwing...

Ruavel

First Post
This has probably been discussed before, but has anyone found any information on the Nightwing's transformation ability that is part of its listed damage...? (Monsters Manual, page 141)

is this a misprint...? because it doesn't seem to have been corrected in the last MM Errata...

any help anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated (including 'homebrew' versions of the power)...

thanks

I've made the assumption that that's not really an ability of the nightwing. I haven't found any expansion on the subject to date.

I've made a similar assumption, but I thought I might ask in case someone knew of an official (or even unofficial) rule for it...

thanks for your input, though...

anyone got any ideas of what you could do with...? eg turn a bitten creature into a nightshade on a failed Fort save or something similar...?

It's been Saged away but, oddly enough, not errata'd away.

IMHO, transformation does nothing and should be omitted from the nightwing's description.

no more transformation...

If it has been dealt with by the Sage, that good enough for me... the damn thing appears tough enough anyway (if somewhat lacking in the form of descriptive text) so I'm will happily remove the 'transformation' entry...

thanks for taking the time to comment...

In previous editions (2e Mystara and OD&D), the abiliy charmed the target and polymorph othered him into a bat. Any hit requires a save or this happens.
