To answer the question, Talislanta(1989) 2nd ed.. been talking about getting this game going for years now.. actually it came out in 80s, so decades now!! dammit!! Maybe 2028 is the year

Set to run "Into the Zone" by Brenden Carlson.. but currently group is in scheduling hell.
fun tidbit, having read through Talislanta in the past 12 months, the conflict resolution is similar to the DC target in 3e(2000) +, which DCCarl is also using a variant of, though DCCarl looks to be more of a skill based system using d20+mod(s) resolution to hit a "Difficulty Number" vid. seemed to avoid using term DC, and D&D 3.x+ era of stat use. i.e stat/10(round down) is modifier.
Of all the rpgs I own, D&D 5e is the least likely to be played in 2027.
There are 5 main reasons for that:
•Most of the groups with whom I play have moved to other systems.
•I've been surprised to find that new prospective players find other games easier to pick up.
•Virtually all of my recent (since about 2023-2024) purchases have been other systems (DCC, Shadowdark, OSRIC, GURPS, etc).
Besides GURPS(don't know enough to say otherwise), these "other systems" are basically like D&D clones.. with some homebrew thrown in. =P
Im aware of, but never played GURPS.. did own a cyberpunk splat book someone snuck in my ebay purchased ad&d 2e Dark Sun box set in/around 2004.. found it when ebaying my stuff in 2020 and cataloging everything. lol
DCC you mean Classics or CARL ? going to get confusing with DCC now.
CARL is on our list to play, two guys backed.. got some high volume of tables in at GENCON per Dungeon Craft list(ranked #10 i think).. i watched a vid. yesterday with a 5 min summary of the rules, seemed interesting but at first glance just another d20-eque clone.
