D&D General OGL, Pinkertons and WOTC Oh My!

You claimed I said WOTC did nothing wrong. I did not and never have. That's all I have to say on this.
not in those exact words, but apart from that, yeah, that was absolutely the gist of it

The demonstrated intent is that they, like every company that wants to stay in business, tries new things. Sometimes they work sometimes they don't.
I said nothing has changed. They thought about changing something but did not. The end result was a change for the better.
I only care about what actually happened not what could have happened. They make a mistake and reverse course with the OGL

WotC is a multi-billion company, not a mom-and-pop store. I hope they are better prepared to take on unforeseen tasks than the Umbran household
And you don't continue being multi billion dollar company by spending valuable resources like employee's work hours on stuff that has 0 ROI. 3.x and 4ed are, de facto, dead games, from commercial standpoint.
true, but that means unless someone gets bugged enough this will never happen as there are always more important things to do than something with no practical benefit
And if it never happens, so what? It has almost no impact on state of things.

As for OGL debacle, personally, i couldn't care less. It's main impact would be on 3rd party content producing companies, not players themselves.
