(OOC) Planescape: Intrigue - RERECRUITING

Can someone tell me the 2014 rules. I have spells that are useable 1/day. I know in the 2024 version I can use my slots to power those same spells. Is that the case in the older version?

I’m asking because, maybe, using levitation, we can use the rooftops to navigate past some of the obstacles. But I’ve used my levitation spell for the day. Wondering if I can use my slot to cast it again.

In the 2014 rules, unfortunately no. Your Air Genasi Levitate is a separate once-per-long-rest racial ability. The older version doesn’t let you spend regular spell slots to cast it again, so if you’ve already used it, it’s spent until your next long rest.

Rooftop navigation is a cool idea though, so there may still be other ways to get up there

Just as a quick OOC note, I spent some time doing a fair bit of behind-the-scenes brainstorming on where this arc is going and how some of the stranger elements we've already seen fit together.

I have a much clearer plan in place now for Plague-Mort, how the current group comes together, what the larger mysteries are actually pointing toward, and how some of those threads can continue well beyond this immediate arc in Plague-Mor without needing to be resolved right away.

So there is a structure behind the weirdness, and the clues should become more coherent as we go. I’m still planning to let character choices largely determine how we get through it rather than steering everyone down one fixed path or having specific outcomes in mind.

No spoilers beyond that, but I’m feeling much better about where the campaign is headed now. Excited to see how your characters help write the story!

I think you have to. If you break up a conversation into separate posts for every exchange, it will take forever.

I try, where possible, to write posts that ask for a response which drives the game forward. What do you do? What happens next?

So, ENWorld auto inserts words "naughty word". Who knew?

Apologies, I realise Sky has thrown a bit of a spanner in the works. But:

1. I just don't see him abandoning his best (only?) lead so far.
2. I cannot see scrambling over broken rooftops as safer than staying on the ground.

If the two groups do ending up going separate ways, I suspect Tempered will manage to convince Sky to head to the palace once he has found the Plague Doctor. Assuming that he can find the Doctor, and that the Plague Doctor does not have a better lead. So shouldn't be two hard to reconnect the groups.
