(OOC) Planescape: Intrigue - RERECRUITING

At this time, Sky is willing to work with the others. He has made his pitch. If another course of action is agreed upon, he will support it. Generally speaking, Sky believes that Alton was likely investigating the Plague, so the parties efforts at this time align with Sky's goal.

In case it becomes a thing: Sky would not support executing Mara, and would argue against it, but would not physically oppose anyone trying it.

Not that Sky really would know this because Orris, so far, has been quite nice and helpful but It's not Orris' style to randomly murder someone. In fact, he'd probably have no compunction to let someone go, even if they were despicably evil. He just doesn't care enough unless it affects him directly.

Right now, he's doing things because it's useful to him to do things this way. If he can find a way to find an advantage, he will so that's kind of what he's doing right now.

But people can feel free to interrupt or whatever. Besides, as a player, I enjoy finding out background stuff about a game.

I think that’s all the info we need. Does anyone want anything else before we move on?

I’m wondering about leaving her or freeing her. I can’t see a reason not to free her unless we think time is pressing and we should move on. I guess it depends if we want to lean into the Evil-ness of the campaign. Leaving her at this point would just be cruel…although, we have moved enough things that she might be able to extricate herself eventually. So we technically were helpful.

I definitely see no reason to have her come with us.

Yeah, and I think the evil alignment leaves a lot of room for how the group chooses to play things. I’d rather the characters feel like actual people with self-interest, priorities, and motives than caricatures who automatically choose the cruelest option every time.

Leaving her there would certainly be an evil choice, but leaning into the evil characters can also be pragmatic or calculated. You could free her because there’s no benefit to keeping her trapped, or take her with you because she might be useful later, whether as leverage, a bargaining chip, for ransom, information, or something else.

So, I can post whenever but I feel like I've been hoarding the camera time(and therefore, directing the narrative) so I was going to wait for someone else to post. But I can go ahead if people don't care

Can Guidance be cast on the caster? I thought that it could, but it has been a long time since I have played DnD.

Edit: If no, then disregard the casting. Sky does not know the others well enough to know how they would respond to having a stranger cast a spell on them, and the current time and place is not the time and place to discuss it.

Range is touch so you can cast it on yourself. You don’t have to specify what skill you are modifying. You get the bonus on any one skill check within the duration (1 minute).
