I love OotS. I remember standing in line at GenCon 2005 to get copies of Dungeon Crawlin' Fools and Start of Darkness. That said, it's been over 20 years now, and I'm ready for it to end. It's gone on so long that many of the copies are borderline impossible to get anymore - and that's a shame.

Yes, agreed. It has a planned narrative arc and Rich should just end it as planned. 20+ years is a good run* and I'd be very happy to see a finale. I really respect Guilded Age, for instance, for ending as planned with a good sendoff for the characters.

*I know Sluggy Freelance, Kevin & Kell, etc. are still going after more like 30 years but they're not a good example for OotS to emulate, I'd have said.

I have resigned myself to the fact that that OotS will be one of the fantasy series that will simply never get a conclusion; it's side quests all the way down.

I think we are nearing the final showdown, though it may take some time due to Rich's pace. I recently started supporting Rich on Patreon since there's nothing of his merch out now that either a) I don't already own, or b) have an interest in. I know OotS over the years has provided me hours of entertainment, so I feel it's a bargain.

A big issue is that the earlier books are staring to show heavy wear. War and XP has completely disintegrated, but there's no way to get new copies; not even on POD.
