i was really let down after the last movie. and letting it fester for three years didnt help much.

nice to know that the secondfilm is good.

do you know if Luca directed this one? In the original series, he directed and produced the first starwars (ep 4) and then gave up the job to someone else. that was part of the reason taht ep 5 and 6 were so great. When Lucas picked up ep 1- it was the same as ep 4- lacking innovation and creativity

I was hoping that he would see that he has vision, but lack some directing skills- and give up that to someone who is more qualified.

But yeah- from the trailers and the reviews- it sounds like it will be a smash-

but then again- with a story like that- how can you mes it up?

do you know if Lucas directed this one?

Episode II was written and directed by Lucas. He did, however, hire a co-writer to tighten up the script a bit. I can't remember his name at the moment, though...

Excellent, innovative new weapons never seen before in any of the flicks.
Complex, multi-layered characters making difficult choices.
Brand new expansive environments.
Tons of new species of non-humans that are amazing to see.
Combat, combat, combat.

Sounds like an advertisement for a computer game.

The scope of the movie is overwhelming at times; Mr. Lucas gives us so much to look at that it's occasionally difficult to follow the action. But in a good way.

This is what I thought when I saw one of the more action-packed trailers.

But it sounds promising. Some of my coworkers are putting the pressure on me to see it opening day. My resolve wavers....
