Does FoM protect from Irresistable Dance?

Irresistible Dance
Enchantment (Compulsion) [Mind-Affecting]
Level: Brd 6, Sor/Wiz 8
Components: V
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Touch
Target: Living creature touched
Duration: 1d4+1 rounds
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: Yes
The subject feels an undeniable urge to dance and begins doing so, complete with foot shuffling and tapping. The spell effect makes it impossible for the subject to do anything other than caper and prance in place. The effect imposes a –4 penalty to Armor Class and a –10 penalty on Reflex saves, and it negates any AC bonus granted by a shield the target holds. The dancing subject provokes attacks of opportunity each round on its turn.

Freedom of Movement
Abjuration
Level: Brd 4, Clr 4, Drd 4, Luck 4, Rgr 4
Components: V, S, M, DF
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Personal or touch
Target: You or creature touched
Duration: 10 min./level
Saving Throw: Will negates (harmless)
Spell Resistance: Yes (harmless)
This spell enables you or a creature you touch to move and attack normally for the duration of the spell, even under the influence of magic that usually impedes movement, such as paralysis, solid fog, slow, and web. The subject automatically succeeds on any grapple check made to resist a grapple attempt, as well as on grapple checks or Escape Artist checks made to escape a grapple or a pin.
The spell also allows the subject to move and attack normally while underwater, even with slashing weapons such as axes and swords or with bludgeoning weapons such as flails, hammers, and maces, provided that the weapon is wielded in the hand rather than hurled. The freedom of movement spell does not, however, allow water breathing.
Material Component: A leather thong, bound around the arm or a similar appendage

Argument: ID chooses your movement, it does not impede it.

Counter-argument: ID prevents you from moving and attacking normally. "Prevent" means the same thing as "impede." And FoM specifically enables you to do those things.

Counter-counter-argument: Fear prevents you from doing anything except run away. Does FoM prevent fear effects?

My judgement call: FoM acts against physical restraints, or effects which prevent muscular movement (like paralysis). It doesn't grant immunity to compulsions, except ones that partially or completely immobilize you. So it doesn't help the victim of ID. Mind blank is your friend there!

FoM over Otto. FoM allows you to move and attack normally... Otto's prevents that. It's like a special form of Dominate, that just forces you to do a single thing. Does FoM stop Dominate?

No.

Otto beats FoM.

Of course not, why should it!?

Dominate doesn't impede movement in any way, Otto's doesn't impede movement in any way.

Both are compulsion effects, which force you to act in a certain way.

Your movement is as normal, you just don't use it - more or less deliberately. ;)

A good question is, does FoM actually work against Hold Person?
Probably does, since Hold Person states "paralyzed".

@The Souljourner: Your interpretation of how FoM works is probably valid as well, it's not really that clearly written.

So Thanee what your asking , I think, Is since FoM doesn't stop Dominate, it shouldn't stop Otto's dance then logic leads us to Hold could be a specific form of dominate like Otto's dance.

I never thought of it that way. Interesting to say the least. Hold doesn't stop people with the fly spell so specifically doesn't impede movement of all sorts. Is "paralyzed" In held the condition or just a description.
