Our Physical Fitness

I'm not cutting at all, I'm in a 'maintenance' kind of diet balance, as when I was bulking, it did some bad things to my liver and cholesterol.

I'm not frustrated with my gym progress, diet, or body composition, I'm frustrated that my recovery seems to be struggling due to sleep really, and so cannot work out as much as I like.
Ahhh, gotcha. I know my sleep patterns have changed as I’ve gotten older and sometimes I crash and burn with only 6 hours a night but that’s always been my own damn fault being a night owl and not making myself get to bed.

Yeah, its warming up here, so that never helps, and the sun is up at 5 or something so...not great, but mostly its stress and some other things making it all much harder, and I've never (other than when I was working out and bulking oddly) slept very well.

Looking to do Upper after work, slept just rough, been a week now of this, waking up with a headache.

BUT

We go hard tonight, sleep in tomorrow, and all will be well.

Upper was pretty good. So I really think my recovery just isn't where it needs to be. Which, probably won't improve till my house situation improves, stress declines, or it cools down and sleep dramatically improves.

Probably worst week of sleep in months.

So, we are at 4 or 3 days a week, depending on Legs. Pretty rough lol
 

176.0 this morning. Didnt get to Legs over the weekend, lots of wife/hobby time though.

I've got a lot of joint inflammation the last few days, I think I blame allergies/pollen, but its getting annoying. Cannot take pills while I sleep or try to sleep, so it builds up over night.

Looking like Upper today. Gym may be packed though. First of the month, Monday, Summer approaches...
 

Was thinking.

If I cannot recover properly, and doing Arms/Shoulders will as a byproduct hit Chest/Back a bit at least, should I not just make my Upper days a bit longer, and hit Shoulders/Arms a touch more?

Makes sense?

I think it does. Are you able to give yourself a little more recovery time between sessions if you do that, to try to make up that recovery deficit?

Yeah, thats the thinking.

Mon - Upper (with Arms/Shoulders)
Tue - Legs
Wed - Break
Thur - Break
Friday - Upper
Saturday - Legs
Sun - Break

Week Two, would then be.

Mon - Upper
Tue - Break, since my legs are dead from Sat.
Wed - Legs
Thur - Break
Friday - Upper.
Sat - Break
Sun - Break

So, 4 days of work then 3 days of work, to account for the rest needed on Legs.
