Over on PCGamesN, there's a first-look at the game, including some screenshots. They'll be using Kickstarter again to fund the sequel, with the campaign launching on Tuesday, February 4th. I'm not sure if this uses PF1 or PF2 rules.

The Wrath of the Righteous adventure path was originally published in 2013. "The Worldwound tore reality apart at the dawn of the Age of Lost Omens, murdering the nation of Sarkoris and unleashing a ravenous demonic horde upon the world. Only the quick action of several other nations of knights, barbarians, and heroes stemmed the demon army and contained it within lost Sarkoris, and for the next century, crusade after crusade tried to defeat the demons only to fail time and time again. Their greatest success, the line of magical artifacts known as wardstones that stand sentinel along the Worldwound's border, barely manages to contain the demons. So when one of the wardstones is sabotaged, a city falls and the demons within surge out in a massive assault like none before. Even before the Fifth Crusade has begun a city has fallen and some of the crusaders' greatest defenders and heroes are slain. Can anyone rise up against the demon host to prevent the armies of Deskari, the demon lord of the Locust Host, from swallowing the world?"

Kingmaker as a computer game was a pretty awesome endeavor which did not disappoint. It took an already good AP and took it to great, fixing something of the plot holes and adding something pretty awesome. I would go so far as to say it’s the best d&d(ish) comp game since Baldurs Gate.

Very interested to see where they take this.

Unfortunately Gary McBrides Throne of Night means I will never back another Kickstarter again. I look forward to playing it though.

Really looking forward to this one. Kingmaker was a ton of fun, even on my 6 year+ old budget rig, and I'm looking to upgrade soon. :)

I'm actually excited for this. We started Wrath of the Righteous just at the tail end of my group playing Pathfinder. I've really wanted to finish it (and yes, it has been sitting on my shelf unread all of this time).

I like the trend of making Pathfinder's APs into games. Now if they could just... get... rid... of... Pathfinder's complicated rules =) I'm tired and old and have children!

Have you given P2 a look? It is definitely more streamlined and easier to digest.

If Wrath of the Righteous is successful enough maybe they will try switching to PF2 for their subsequent game (assuming they want to keep making Pathfinder games at all). If the success is good but not great economics might dictate they keep building on the engine they have.
