For Immediate Release:
Saturday, October 4, 2003: Transfinite Publications has become a part of Phoenix Rising Games. Transfinite Publications is best known for the popular Almanac d20 magazine, but also initiated production on a series of supplements. All the products previously available through Transfinite Publications will still be available, now through Phoenix Rising Games in a revised format.
Phoenix Rising Games publishes the Adventure Anthologies, Travelers on the Road, and Of Gods, Men, and Monsters series of d20 PDF sourcebooks and adventures. PRG was founded by veteran freelance writer Jeffrey Quinn and spouse, Susie Quinn in March, 2003.
"Almanac had previously been put on hiatus, but we can now announce that Issue 3 of Almanac will be released shortly," Richard Tongue, editor of Almanac said. “There have been some terrific submissions for this magazine, and I’m really glad that we’re going to get a chance to continue the work we’ve begun.”
Included with the d20 products that Transfinite Publications has for sale, this merger also brings the very popular OD&Dities e-zine over to PRG. OD&Dities is a free e-zine that is developed by the fans of the original Dungeons & Dragons rules system (remember the red box?).
"In addition to the acquisition of Transfinite Publications," Jeffrey Quinn said, "we also would like to announce that we have a new Art Director in the form of Fil Kearney, a fantastic artist. Richard will continue to be the editor and project manager of Almanac and OD&Dities, but he will also be adding the title of 'PRG PR Guy' in there."
The PRG website will be updated in the next few weeks to reflect all of the new changes to the company. Please excuse the clutter as we unpack the boxes of our newest family member.
