Someone I met, while working my way through college, was a guy who had such a trust because his wealthy parents had died in a car crash, when he was very young. I don't think that the administrators of the trust were exactly on the ball because he would buy expensive goods and appliances, stating that the old ones had broken or somesuch, then sell then for coke money.

Probably not much a trustee could legally do, TBH.
