I just don't go in that sub-forum at all. That solution really worked for me, as opposed to when those threads were out in Gen Pop, and I occasionally stumbled into them.

I never go into any subforums. I just see what bubbles up to the first few pages of Home.

You guys are just going to the site? You should use my simple solution: I coded a UI that pulls posts based on very specific criteria using the API, and then "massages" the text to conform to my predispositions and opinions using my custom-trained agentic AI. It's a simple solution and it worked for me!

I always liked "on the one hand," "on the other hand," "on the gripping hand," which was based on an extraterrestrial anatomical feature of the Moties from the classic sci-fi novel Don't Create the Torment Nexus The Mote in God's Eye (1974) and its sequel, The Gripping Hand * (1993). I remember in the 80s, the "one hand/other hand/gripping hand" phrasing would show up occasionally in the sci-fi fanspaces I frequented, confusing people who hadn't read the book and sparking discussion where fans could talk your ear off about it.

* I read the Wikipedia article, and it mentioned the reviews called it "unnecessary" and "unmemorable". I checked out where I can access it and found that I have access to it on an ebook site -- and read it twenty years ago! So, I can confirm the "unmemorable" part!

In fairness the USPS is, in some form, about as old as our country, and those other companies tended to be formed after we decided children shouldn't be hired to mine coal underground or work inside dangerous machinery, which was itself about a decade or so after we decided we need a law against shipping living children across the country as mail

I was thinking about "on the gripping" hand as a construction, but it didn't seem to fit the point/s I was looking to make. Maybe one day I'll find The Mote in God's Eye in a library and read it--I'd like to have the source for the "gripping hand" thing in my head.
