Was it the pellet type? I’m definitely not a fan of those.

I have the grill master version that burns chips a few at a time but is smoke efficient.
Nah. Just regular wood chips. But the chip chamber was only slightly larger than a water bottle. I invariably had a receptacle of spent wood at the end of the process. I’d get nice results for the doneness & texture, but almost no smoky flavor.

sir, don't you know that giving that company the benefit of a doubt isn't allowed here?
It wouldn't be so bad to occasionally do that, except that companies have come to depend upon and rely on "the benefit of the doubt. Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. Three times is enemy action.”

EDIT: Unless you're talking about Diamond. Those guys are the definition of "shady." With Diamond, once is enemy action.

Im about to spend a week and a half at my north woods cabin. We will be making all kinds of great meals. The cookin thread will be a bit busier I suspect.

I'm seen an ad multiple times now that claims "This $19 Wooden Hummingbird House Breaks All Sales Records In The US."

Really? All the records? You're claiming you got a wooden hummingbird house that can beat what the HumHouse did back in '73? You're saying you can beat the numbers that Amazon did with the Humminator during COVID? I mean, I bet you could challenge the numbers they did in Canada, sure, they're amateurs up there. But all the wooden hummingbird house sales records in the US? This is a gamechanger, I tell ya. A real gamechanger. I can't believe I haven't read about this in Hummingbird House Sales Quarterly. Why, I may just write a letter to the editor. The economic impacts can't be ignored.

Hummingbird House Sales Quarterly is only, IMO, the third-most-accurate hummingbird house related periodical in the US. And, really, the top periodicals to check for these stats are probably Maison Colibri Libri out of France or the German Monatliches Kolibrihaus.
