A question for the assembled elders: what's the etiquette for leaving a gaming group? I assume just ghosting is rude, is "I'm not enjoying this, have fun y'all" enough? I've never actually been in a game I wanted to quit that didn't just peter out on its own.

I usually just tell them that I've decided to drop the game because I need that time to focus on other stuff in my life. You don't necessarily have to get specific.

I was pretty specific, but that group knew we'd been having trouble staying on the same page for like three campaigns by that point; two of the people in the group clearly had thought it was coming sometime.
