Perhaps your company needs to suggest an IT security basic training course to client company's representative? the biggest weakness in IT systems, these days, is people. AI is a close second but takes advantage of the first, as well.

No, see, I took the client's own training course a month ago, which is how I know they use the term "oversharing" for that particular security snafu. They had the knowledge, they just... didn't care, I guess? Didn't think it applied to them, maybe?

Pretty typical, unfortunately. Often it seems to me that the people who have the highest exposure and the most access, are the ones who don't follow basic rules.
