I have already encountered one woman who- when I described D&D night- called it a version of poker night.

In a way, it kind of is. Or bridge night. I mean, you could just call them all "game night" and be accurate, even if the nature of the games is very different.

The statement as written is not making a claim about the Industrial Revolution, but about whether people have doubts about it being an unmitigated boon. People do have doubts, therefore the statement must be false, therefore I must disagree with it; if I were particularly cranky, I'd disagree with it strongly.

Note that my disagreement with the statement has nothing to do with whatever thoughts I might have about the Industrial Revolution and its benefits.
