Player's Handbook Races - Dragonborn (link to review)

I was looking around on this site for a review and all I found was this (mini) review. I ended up writing up a more thorough one here. I focused on the fluff, because all the crunch will end up in the Character Builder and Compendium so I figured people would mostly be buying this for the fluff. If you are curious as to what exactly you would get in the fluff department, check the review out!

I was wondering how many people are planning on buying this - it kind of feels like an experiment to me, to see if people are willing to pay $10 for a 32 page softcover. I am sure if it does well we will see a lot more similar length releases, because they could be cranked out quite quickly and soft cover two-staple binding does not cost very much to produce.

I bought it because I play a Dragonborn and honestly, I was looking for something to fill out an order on Amazon to get free shipping. I am not sorry I bought it - I particularly liked the little sidebar with dragonborn expressions (talk in Draconic at the table to the wonder and consternation of the rest of your group!) and the information on Dragonborn family and clan names. The backgrounds also provided a lot of good ideas (there are 20 new backgrounds!).

One thought I had - wouldn't it be nice if they put out a series of race books for races that have NOT been given the official write up yet - I am thinking about all the cool races in the monster manual that people like to play. This would be a great and inexpensive way to introduce new races into play and I am sure that would sell better than a glorified Dragon article on a race that already has lots of published support and fluff.
