In The Digital Front - Episode 07 we chat with Philip J. Reed of Ronin Arts. Phil, a veritable pioneer in the e-distributed gaming market, talks to us about the early days of the PDF market, the heyday of Ronin Arts, the changes brought on by changes in the PDF side of the industry, and what he's been up to lately. Mark Gedak presents a review of a product by RPG Objects, and we tell you about an AP news article on e-books and niche markets (focusing on our own), about a charity project from 12 to Midnight, and about advertising on The Digital Front Podcast.

I was wondering this week what had happened to Phil Reed. Now, if only I could listen to that podcast. Anybody willing to very briefly fill us in on what he's up to?

Thanks!

Phil's working at Steve Jackson Games, some kind of editorial position, and it sounded important--can't remember exactly what. He indicated he's still working on Ronin Arts, just slowly.

I was waiting for this episode for a while, so thanks for putting it out, Daniel!

I check the site almost every day. I just don't have a lot of time to post.

My official title is Managing Editor. I supervise the entire creative side of the company, making sure new product goes through the entire process (from concept to the store).

Sounded important, and definitely is important. It was a great interview. Sorry you don't have time to post as often as you did.

Cheers. Hope you (and all) have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. It certainly was a great conversation I had with Phil. As I said on the show, the second part, the part after the interview was officially over, was even more interesting, but you know. ;)

Hey, Phil... still waiting for that Ken Hite product, you slacker. ;)
