I love chocolate; I am mildly allergic to chocolate; I eat chocolate.

My younger (pre diagnosis) self would try all kinds of stuff. Post diagnosis, I’m much more selective. I’ve also delved deeper into trying substitutes for chocolate, like sweetened coffee products or Black Sapote fruit.

Still, I still occasionally indulge in my earlier childhood favorites, like Kit-Kats and Reese’s Peanut Butter cups (of all sizes, but none of the derivative products). Toblerones & Lindt classic Hazelnut bars are currently in my pantry.

And I do enjoy the occasional fancier confectionery, like French silk pie or various truffles. Fortunately for my health (but unfortunately for my preferences), my favorite truffles are no longer readily available.
