It is from 2e I believe. They are called Rings of Readiness. One ring goes onto your characters finger and the other magically fits to the hilt of a weapon. Upon command the weapon will appear into the hand the ring is on. It only works if the weapon is within a 1 mile radius of the wearer. Any ideas?

I've actually seen rings like this in another d20 product, but I can't remember were. If I remember correctly, they weren't that expensive. I think they were under 10,000gp. It made sense that they were inexpensive because it only worked one way. You could call the weapon to you without a problem, but you couldn't use the ring to send it back. You had to do that on your own.

The power of this item is dependent on whether it requires a standard, a move-equivalent or a free action to activate, since it is mostly useful after a successful disarm attempt or when using thrown weapons.

As a free action, it seems about as powerful as the Gloves of Storing (which cost 2,200). The gloves can put something in stasis (useful for energy weapons), whereas the ring can be used in scams and as a cheap version of the returning special ability.

I haven't seen anything official, but from a rough personal estimate, I'd judge this magic item at about 4,000.
