Hello, Roleplayers and Survivors!
On the eve of the second edition of Your World Has Been Deleted coming out this year, I want to propose a simple exercise.
Imagine that your reality is the next one to be eliminated. One of the unfortunate Survivors is you, and you'll have only your skills and knowledge as mechanisms to survive.
But you don't have much time. The Clock marks twelve hours. Twelve hours that, once they run out, will mean everything is over. To make things worse, time in the remains of your reality is not linear, and many of your actions may cause that Clock to advance in sudden jumps.
In this situation, with the goal of searching for an Exit you don't even know where it could lead, but which is the only promise of survival you have left, you'll have your Memories at your disposal.
Those things you do habitually, almost by muscle memory in your everyday life, have now become alterations of reality that may be useful to you. If you perform them in the right way, the materials you need to carry out your objective will appear.
The trick? They have specific activation conditions. You need to have a clear objective.
Memories are made of three parts: When, To, and Manifest. And they need to be clear enough.
For example:
Juan is an emergency doctor.
WHEN I provide medical assistance to an injured companion,
TO stabilize them and prevent them from getting worse,
MANIFEST bandages, gauze, gloves, tourniquets, disinfectant and other basic emergency supplies.
Or:
Arturo is a carpenter.
WHEN I reinforce the openings of a closed area,
TO prevent hostile creatures from getting inside,
MANIFEST planks, nails, hammers, wedges and other elements for making barricades.
They are circumstantial, but they can be the difference between life and death. Once their use is over, all manifested material disappears.
But well, now let's go back to the simulation.
If you were in this situation, and you only had your own skills and knowledge, what would be the best Memory you could have to survive?
Please try to use the WHEN, TO, MANIFEST format
