[Quick!] Feat selection

I'm trying to pick a feat for my cleric in a short-term game I'm playing in about half an hour.

The cleric worships a LE goddess of shadow magic (as well as divinations and knowledge, my characters' specialties), though my character is LN herself. She doesn't like to cast attack spells: attacking is for the fighter-types.

She's third level and already has Improved Initiative. PH feats would be best.

Race and Stats?

And exactly how long, level-wise, will this campaign be?

Emphasis on roleplaying, or critter hunting?

Dodge for that ever-useful AC bonus

Combat Casting in case something gets to you

Toughness - 3 hp never hurt anyone

I know there are some better feats from other sources, but thats my 2 cents from the PHB

The campaign will not likely last beyond level 6-8, but treat it as though we were going to continue.

We roleplay as well as fight. One of the characters worships the god of beasts, and we're tracking one down now. (No hurting it, I think, is his policy.)

Complete stats, sans formatting:

Shua, female elf Clr4: CR 4; ECL 4; Medium-size Humanoid (elf); HD 4d8+8; hp 31; Init +5; Spd 30 ft; AC 17 (+4 chain shirt, +2 large wooden shield, +1 Dex); Melee longsword +5 (1d8+3/crit 19-20), or quarterstaff +5 (1d6+3), or dagger +5 (1d4+2/crit 19-20); Ranged dagger +4 (1d4/crit 19-20), or longbow +4 (1d8/crit x3); SA spells, turn undead; SQ elven traits; AL LN; SV Fort +7, Ref +3, Will +8; Str 14, Dex 12, Con 15, Int 18, Wis 16, Cha 14.

SA–Turn Undead (Su): 5/day, Shua can attempt to turn undead creatures. She can turn undead with no more than (1d20+4)/3 HD. Each attempt, she turns 2d6+6 total HD. Undead with 2 or fewer HD are destroyed instead.
SQ–Elven Traits (Ex): Sleep immunity, +2 save vs. Enchantment, low-light vision, proficient: longsword or rapier, proficient: longbows and shortbows.
Cleric Spells Prepared (5/4/3): 0–cure minor wounds (2), detect magic, guidance, mending; 1–cure light wounds, shield of faith (2), endure elements; 2–augury, bull’s strength, death knell.

Sorry, I don't qualify.

I'm untrained in Concentration. If push comes to shove, I'll run. :D

Well, that's possible I guess, but my main hopes are:
* Stay back from combat
* Look unattractive as a target
* Wear enough armor to stop mobs of crazies

good stuff...

Spell Focus Enchantment
Greater Spell Focus Enchantment

in the forseeable future
Spell Penetreation
Extend Spell

if your allowed to use FRCS and MoF
Improved Counter Spell
Reactive counter Spell

Spell Thematics is an Interesting feat
Blindsight 5' Radius is good
along with Craft Wonderous Item even scribe scroll and brew potion are useful

there are my 2 coppers worth

I don't have an offensive spell to my name.

Maybe...

None of these are allowed, with the possible exception of B5fR, which I don't qualify for.

These, too, are good.

OK, I'm leaving for the game. Extend Spell it is!

Choose one of the following core feats.

Expertise - AC bump could be important. Allows you to absorb attacks until your fighters can drop the target.
Lightning Reflexes - Covers for a major cleric weakness
Extend Spell - Useful for buffs. Leads to Persistant Spell
Combat Reflexes - Protects you when you are flatfooted.
Scribe Scroll - Always useful to have some scrolls around.
Craft Wand - Especially useful if the DM is severely limiting access to magic items. Wands of 1st level spells are highly utilitarian and efficient.

I played an elven cleric from 1st to 11th level, he was pretty fun, but more war-like than yours. Feat Suggestions:

Scribe Scroll: Especially if youre the only cleric, it pays to have scrolls for the good 1-time things you may not want to pray for everyday: Remove Fear, Remove Paralysis, Restoration, etc.

Brew Potion: This feat has great utility for all clerics, especially ones who dont necessarily plan on playing to high levels (where potions arent as good as scrolls). Good synergy with a mage in your party, noone ever turns down potions.

Alertness: Goes well with picking Improved Initiative, your character is an elf and shouldnt be surprised or caught off-balance often. Good synergy with your wisdom and elf racial bonuses.

Lightning Reflexes: Probably your weakest saving throw, wouldnt hurt to have a bonus to it for those fireballs youll be facing soon.

Extend Spell: Probably the best metamagic feat for low level clerics, it makes your spells last longer and eventually chains to persistent spell.

Those are my suggestions based on my own elven cleric. Btw, seems weird you are LN and have death knell memorized....

What's wrong with that? I worship a LE deity who grants it as a domain spell. I took it in a normal slot, though, since I don't have Death...
