The third party books, then the Greyhawk adventure.

Dark Sun would be third, but honestly I'm interested in adventures, not settings.

As a pro DM, I don't think many of my players will be interested in World of Warcraft and especially not Dark Sun. Maybe some will be interested in Star Wars; I'm really not sure.

I am interested in stuff that is well-designed. To me, the brand is secondary - the fact that it's Dark Sun, or Greyhawk, or Star Wars, or World of Warcraft, doesn't automatically mean it'll be good or bad. Any of them could be great, any could be terrible.

First and foremost, my reaction is "I can't buy all of these things." I will have to pick and choose. And in some cases, I am far more likely to go to the store and read a bit of the physical books to try to evaluate their quality before buying. As always, I wish the state of TTRPG advance reviews was stronger than it is.

It feels like too much product to me, to be honest. And I am hardcore fan who buys a LOT of stuff.

I realize that World of Warcraft and Star Wars are not especially aimed at me, the existing hardcore player who is already in the fold. They're about bringing in new fans. And fair enough.

However, as a Gen X white guy who first played in 1986, some of the stuff that I feel IS directly aimed at me feels like...they're making some incorrect assumptions about my current tastes? First and foremost, I DON'T think 80s D&D was better than modern D&D, and or that D&D needs to "get back to that." For me, the best official D&D was probably like 2014-2022.

I just realized.

Universes Beyond is a shared branding between D&D and MtG. MtG has done official Dwarf Fortress cards. I don't care who I have to hurt or fellate to get this, I want an official Dwarf Fortress D&D supplement, it's just begging to integrate crafting, bastion and insanity rules into one.

Reminds me of Dwarven Kingdoms of Krynn back for 2E ... (and the Complete Book of Dwarves brown book).

Dark Sun and 3rd party adventures, but both for really the same reason ...  Eberron. I want an official Psion, and I hope we get a fun Eberron adventure, I'm pretty meh on the thought of Greyhawk or more FR adventures. (Ghostfire Gaming doing a Ravenloft adventure does intrigue me, but that's more a wait and see)

The UB stuff is second tier, I'm curious but in a wait and see mode

I'm decisively whelmed. I am interested in WoW for new PC and DM options but not for the setting. Ditto Dark Sun, especially with the psion. I'm curious about the Greyhawk module, and really curious how they will do Star Wars. The 3pp has my greatest interest and Beyond the least. But nothing here is exciting me the way Forge or Horror Within (or even AU) has.

It is all kind of... meh... to me.

None of it makes me think, "Cool, I'll have get that!"
I haven't had any interest in playing modern D&D for quite some time, but I still try to keep up with the news...especially for things like this. At the moment these things don't have me throwing my wallet at my computer, but I am curious how things will look a year from now. Like, where are they going and what will be successful for them to expand upon.

If you could level up through crafting instead of combat, I could see it working. Alternatively the entire fortress is the PC and levels up somehow, unlocking more bastions (village->town->city->metropolis->mountainhome).
I just feel like that whole idea kind of goes directly against what DF is about. Like DF has more in common with the kind of D&D where you can just die out of nowhere and have to start over, or where you can try something crazy at level 3, and it might work out, rather than the tightly-regulated kind where you level up steadily and unlock "new features" which are arbitrarily and often illogically gated by certain levels and so on. Bastions are the opposite of what Fortresses in DF are. If you want to build a lava pump or try taking out an aquifer with a hideously dangerous freezing method when your fortress only has six dwarves or w/e you absolutely can, and sometimes it'll succeed, you don't need to wait until some arbitrary level that some game designer decided those should be "allowed" at.

I feel like a D&D supplement for DF would want to lean into random generation (by procedural systems, not LLMs), and to have the players probably playing multiple dwarves, any of whom might die at any moment. You'd also want to add in systematization of stuff like how dwarves get "strange moods", how "tantrum spirals" can happen, and in general how managing the mental and physical health of a fortress is absolutely vital and not to be put off-screen or just RP'd. Beer would need to be big too!

World of Warcraft interests me because of Nostalgia and the fun of trying to run a WOW world where things actually change with the parties actions. I suspect it will be an easier set to get groups for than my beloved Dark Sun which Is the one that interests me the most but even back in the day it was hard to put together a table for. It just doesn't seem to have the power to attract the masses that a standard fantasy campaign does.

I am intrigued by the recent news concerning Dark Sun and Star Wars. I am relatively new to this hobby, so I never had the chance to experience Dark Sun back in the day. As long as it is a harsh, violent environment built on rich lore rather than just shock value or an antagonistic stance toward family-friendly content, I think it is something I would enjoy exploring. Furthermore, as a Star Wars fan, the prospect of playing a D&D campaign in that universe sounds fantastic.
