These minis...are all Lovecraftian creatures. Six all new monsters (not counting Cthulhu) not in VGR, which is making me believe that potentially some monsters from VGR are getting replaced by new ones. There's only 9 extra over VGR, and We've seen too many new ones to pass that number by now.

It should be noted that some monsters got combined, like the Grimeshka. There used to be two stat blocks for them (an individual and a swarm) but now it’s one stat block with two forms. That will free up some space, though not much.

Well, they aren't necessarily looking to fully replace Van Richten's.

They are going rather all in on the Mythos stuff, nice.
 


I also wonder what Van Richten's Guide monsters aren't getting an update, then? I have a feeling that, if I'Cath is left out, the jiangshi won't be included. I do hope to see a revamped necrichor, but I won't be heartbroken if we don't.

I saw before it got taken down, that the Swarm statblock was in the Play Pack, so it's very likely its in the book. Someone else posted a screenshot here of the full list of the play pack, but I can't find it anymore
