So we have confirmed:

  • Barovia
  • Borca
  • Falkovia
  • Innsmouth
  • Sithicus
  • Valachan
  • Lamordia
  • Hazlan
  • Har'Akir
  • Tepest (darklord art)
  • Kalakeri (darklord art)
  • Darkon (B&G map)
  • Mordent (B&G Map)

That's 13 confirmed. The ones from VGR not confirmed are Dementlieu, Bluetspur, Carnival, iCath, Kartakass, and Richemulot. If I was betting man, Dementleu, Kartakass, and Richemulot get the last three slots and Bluestpur, iCath and the Carnival sit this one out. It also means the only new domains are Innsmouth and Sithicus.
There was some I'Cath art floating around somewhere...

Yes, but I don't think any content meant to be evergreen, like D&D books, should be so dated, so quickly.
Well it's not like Covid was the first major pandemic. Outbreaks of Cholera, TB and plague were massive in the old world and sadly not uncommon today. Bad knowledge of disease lead to a lot of horror tropes from vampires to plague doctors. But I understand a lot of people lived though the trauma of the covid lockdowns and aren't quick to want to replicate it in their games. Maybe a little too close to home.

But man, you can get a LOT of potential hooks for Richemulot just by reading accounts of the Black Death in places like Venice or the terror of Poveglia Island. But you make one offhand reference to wearing a mask and everyone calls it the covid domain...

VGR came out in 2021, but there is a roughly two year cycle on these things, so it may have been written in 2019, before Covid, inspired by the Black Death and Poe. It may have been just bad timing.
