No, he wasn't. But I can see some races, primaries mostly, where I'd vote for him over some of the actual candidates.

Tunagate really made him an unacceptable candidate for a lot of people, but I feel like the media overhyped it. That said, the potted plant scandal deserved more attention.

Funny enough, before the direct election of Senators, the Senate did seat Senators under the minimum age on a few occasions.

Every so often, a town will elect a cat or dog as mayor. Often no age restrictions. Now for US Congress slots, maybe a tortoise would work. "Slow and Steady for the Win!"
