This week I look at RPG crowdfunding projects that end between November 23rd and December 3rd. It is that time of year when many projects are quickstarters and the new projects are fewer and further between. That noted, these aren’t all of the projects available, but what we have are in the order of their end date. Some of them were inspired by Side Quest 2021, a November initiative to give more spotlight to RPG zines and indie projects.

In this one, you play a barbarian whose people were murdered by a wizard and you’re out for revenge. You can play that game without any other books. Alternately, D. Vincent Baker created The Wizard's Grimoire, a compatible game. Compatible as long as your barbarian doesn’t kill that wizard. This uses a variant of the PbtA system so it should be easy for fans of Vincent’s work to run with.

- WHY SPOTLIGHT THIS CAMPAIGN? This RPG lies somewhere between cyberpunk and sci-fi (and, yes, cyberpunk is sci-fi, but this project bridges between them). In a neon-samurai world, your characters have a lineage and traditions that face off against robots and laser katanas. I mentioned CY_BORG above as the worst possible cyberpunk world. Well, this one is a brighter, more hopeful alternative with its own original system.

If you need more monsters in your 5e game, or just love books of monsters, this is worth reading over.
