RPG Crowdfunding News – Magical Kitties Level Up! Necrobiotic, and more

This week, I look at RPG projects on Kickstarter ranging from all-ages original systems to a number of 5e games waiting to be discovered. These campaigns end between late May and June 11th.

Magical Kitties Level Up! from Atlas Games

• WHY SPOTLIGHT THIS CAMPAIGN? This all-ages RPG does something everyone who isn’t a dog person can get behind, have you roleplay as a kitten. Better yet, your cat has a human and that human has a problem and you’ve decided to solve it using your magical kitten powers. This project offers a reprint of Magical Kitties Save the Day Deluxe Edition plus new adventures. From Atlas Games, this all-ages game will be a solid product and connect with the young kids at the table.

Deep Magic Spell Cards for 5th Edition from Kobold Press

• WHY SPOTLIGHT THIS CAMPAIGN? These poker-sized cards offer each 5e spell, one per card, all taken from Kobold Press’ Deep Magic spells. Each class gets cards ranging from 66 for the Paladin and 118 for the Ranger to 277 for the Cleric and over 600 for the Wizard, Warlock, and Sorcerer classes. If you want new spells and an easy way to distribute them to players who don’t own Kobold’s library, this is a great option.

Necrobiotic - A Dystopian TTRPG from Penny For A Tale

What do you mean? As in, what’s the difference between these and the Gale Force 9 spell cards?

Kobold Press is a 3rd party company. So Kobold Press’s spell cards are for the spells from their Deep Magic books. So you won’t find spell cards for Magic Missile and Fireball. They will be for the spells that Kobold Press created.

I am doing art for the project and it is a lot of fun. When I first heard it was based on Fairy Tales I was a bit dubious, but the author puts a fun and wicked twist on it which really caught my interest.
