RPG Crowdfunding News - Tales from Sina Una, Dice The Halls!, Over the Troll Bridge, and more

This week’s RPG crowdfunding campaigns end between August 19 and September 6. While this is only a sampling of what’s available, it’s worth calling out that Kickstarters’s 2022 RPG Zine Quest is live with a number of zines available. For this article, I pulled some items from ZQ and some non-zines to give an idea of the available options. In addition, this week’s list has a subtle theme, something that each of these campaigns have in common. HINT: Shipwrecks of the Astral Sea from Jerry Joe Seltzer fits the criteria as well.

Fortunately, you have doorways to many realms to collect that loot and keep your home above the lava. This family friendly RPG is 24 pages plus a cover employing the Down We Go system of d20 and d6 mechanics. Brian Colin of Vast Grimm worked with his children to design this RPG. As a unit, their work gives this book a family makes family friendly RPG vibe. I picked up the playtest edition at Gen Con and it’s a winner, one I wish I’d had time to play at the con. If you need all-ages stories of monsters saving their home at your gaming table, this RPG awaits your dice.

I wish a great success for "Tales from Sina Una" but some times I worry about this IP among others to be forgotten in the time because they haven't enough promotion. They should survive in the memory of D&D players. Of course with the experience you learn how to do it better, but a first step is necessary even when there is some fail.

I wonder if some of these IPs created by 3PPs could be acquired by WotC in a future if the original publisher closed.
