Unseasonably rainy on Skye.....
I don't think rain is ever unseasonable on Skye. It rained the whole time I was there, and that was July. Meanwhile it's so hot in London the buildings have all melted into a big puddle of concrete.
Also, no one has ever mentioned that y'all have your light switches upside down!
It's usually down for on. I was not aware of other places where the convention is different.

Hidden Valley hike in Glen Coe..... We missed the last parking spot by seconds, so we did a very long hike up one valley, down where we could see a loch and I think the"skyfall" road, back up and down another valley. Stunning.

If you are on the Black Isle, Cromarty is an interesting place to stop for an hour. If you visit the Culloden battlefield, don’t forget to look out for the plaque with my name on.

Both Inverness and Edinburgh seem very well set up for tourists. So many restaurants and bars! All in walking distance if you stay in the inner city.

There's a race on the street our hotel is on, Sunday, so we need to leave early before they close the road. It's been an adventure!

If you're still in Inverness, Leakey's Bookshop is a must!
