Secure sweep ad hijacking browser

Hey y’all, I don’t know if you care about this or can do anything about it if you do, but for the past several days I’m getting an ad that redirects my browser to a very scammy “secure sweep” site. One of those things that pretends to be scanning my phone for viruses. Completely takes me out of enworld, I have to hit the back button.

Anyway, thought you might want to know.

They are Google ads. ENWorld has no control over them -- they key off your cookies and whatnot. You can report the ad to Google.

Technically, if you can capture the url the ad points to, I think we can block it. But it appearing is mostly based on your own browsing history and Google, not us.

The site it tries to send me to is Cybermedic.buzz
Don’t know if that helps any (or if it is even what other people are getting).

@darjr I just got it as I was checking this thread (ironically). The URL I was sent to was

securesweep.pro/avs/en/mob-939/global-bb.php?c=5uzdyri8kza6z5&k=c355e2eea111b82a6b4bf9ec1f6ee8c7&country_code=US&carrier=-&country_name=United States®ion=Oregon&city=Portland&isp=CenturyLink Communications LLC&lang=en&ref_domain=&os=iOS&osv=18&browser=Safari&browserv=&brand=Apple&model=iPhone&marketing_name=iPhone&tablet=2&rheight=0&rwidth=0&e=5
