I've gotten sidetracked making an Alchemist class. I'm working on a spell list and some bespoke casting rules, but I have a draft of the Alchemy skill that's the other part of the class. For your consideration:

Alchemy. You are a master of magical chemistry. You can permanently learn to create any poison or potion by studying it and experimenting for a week and succeeding on an Intelligence check at the listed DC. You may add half you level rounded down from this intelligence check. Whether you succeed or fail, the poison or potion is consumed.
-Normal poison – DC 15
-Deadly Poison – DC 18
-Potion – DC 21

You may create one dose of a poison or potion you know by passing the listed intelligence check and paying the associated cost.
-Normal poison – DC 12 and 1d10x10 GP
-Deadly poison – DC 15 and 1d10x50 GPPotion – DC 18 and 1d10x100 GP

Each attempt to create a poison or potion takes a day, and you must spend listed gold cost whether you succeed or fail.

I found the wording here confusing (from vs. to).
Adding half the character level...to the Int check, or is it a modifier to the DC?

For the sake of clarity, I'm not simply posting the Alchemist because the playtest has a bunch of Cursed Scroll content that's not 3PP available. I'll need to revamp and reskin those bits before I can post it publicly.

Edit - but I am happy to share it via DM.

I may just publish the Alchemist as its own thing, since it's almost finished and has new spells and magic items included. I'm still happy to send folks the current playtest text-only too.

Has anyone picked up The Shucked Oyster? Curious if it's just a setting or an adventure too.

I'm waiting for the 'Not Ravenloft' to be fulfilled before I take the dive, I've read good things about it and was going to, but I'm already spending far too much after cutting back on RPG material.

(Says the fool who just backed the OSE books...)
